Starting in March, Margreet will complete her training as a dog chiropractor and will then hold consultation hours for dogs in the practice on Tuesday evenings.

For what symptoms should you take your dog to the chiropractor?

– difficulty climbing stairs or jumping on things
– difficulty getting up after lying down
– change in mood or behavior
– change in mood or behavior

Vitamin (D)aylight

Vitamin D is one of the few vitamins that our body can produce itself under the influence of sunlight. Unfortunately, from September onwards the sun is too low to allow sufficient sunlight to pass through. So even if you sit in the sun, you will no longer get vitamin D.

That is why it is good to take vitamin D supplements from September to March. The ideal amount of vitamin D for most people is 1,000 IU (25MG) to 4,000 IU (100MCG) per day.

But why is vitamin D so important? It supports bones and teeth, among other things. Vitamin D also influences muscle function and our immune system. It improves your heart health, increases your muscle strength and helps prevent colds. It also lowers the risk of diabetes and reduces symptoms of depression. Even chronic pain can be reduced by vitamin D!

Many people, especially the elderly, have a vitamin D deficiency. From September onwards it is therefore wise for everyone to take extra vitamin D. It is wise to supplement throughout the year for the elderly, people who spend little time outdoors or with a dark skin color.
