New Chiropractor
Chiropractor Sjoerd Crooijmans will be joining the team at Chiropractie Wassenaar in August. Sjoerd grew up in Wassenaar and finds it special to be able to help people in his familiar environment.
Sjoerd graduated from the Anglo-European College of Chiropractic (AECC), where he completed the five-year full-time study to become a chiropractor. What appeals to him in the profession is understanding complaints; where do they come from, what is the impact on someone’s life and above all: what is possible to work together on recovery? He attaches great importance to personal attention, clear communication and an honest, open approach.
With a bachelor’s degree in Dutch language and culture from Leiden University, Sjoerd knows how powerful language can be. He uses this knowledge to provide clear explanations, without complicated terms. Patients must feel understood and know where they stand.
In his spare time, he likes to play golf, tennis and run. He can also often be found on his racing bike and is immersed in music. He is looking forward to welcoming patients at Chiropractie Wassenaar.

Pain Free Vacation
For many, the summer holiday will soon begin. Here are some tips to get through them as well as possible:
- Stop driving at least every 2 hours and do some stretching exercises.
- Bring your own pillow on your holiday.
- Keep track of your daily exercises while on holiday and ensure sufficient exercise.
- Do not lie or sleep on your stomach (not even to sunbathe). This position puts a lot of pressure on the lower back and neck.
- Pay attention to your sitting position in the car. Adjust the seat properly or use an extra cushion such as the “lordosit”.
- Tips for lifting suitcases: Make sure the suitcase is close to the body. Bend your legs and keep your back straight. Turn on your feet and not from your back.
- Make a preventive appointment with us before you go on holiday!
